32Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:
33So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.
34Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.
35Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
36But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.
37But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
38For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,
39And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

Thank you for doing this study. You got my curiosity going so I googled” figs falling, nephillim” and somehow on this rabbit trail I ended up at Payrick Herons page at some UFO site. Sorry link is gone but I’m sure you can get there with info I provided.
Now I’ve been listening to/reading up about the Nephillim and this view of Patrick Herons makes the most sense to me.
To be brief, he basically says that the Nephillim were products of the fallen angels/ watchers and were essentially stupid. The watchers are bound up below Euphrates and also a number get” kicked out of heaven” in the last days. These are the stars that fall like figs (angels=stars).
So I’m not fully entrenched in this view, but I have always wondered about the fig metaphor… Interesting that after Adam and Eve sinned they used Fig leaves to cover themselves… There are “fake Jews” in the end times that are of the synagogue of Satan…. Is that why the fig tree was cursed by Yeshua???
Sorry to ramble. Keep up the good programming and inspiration, guys!
Shalom ,
Carol
A link that I found most inspiring regarding the fig tree here:
http://members.cox.net/thomasahobbs/yea_11-5.htm
I plan on exploring this info further
( it’s difficult on an iPod) but from what I’ve read at this site I am seeing the connection as to why Yeshua started talking about a fig tree when He just finished talking about the
end of the age!!

Thank you for showing this ” Matthew 24: 32-39 Verse By Verse Bible Teaching Podcast | Verse by Verse Bible Teaching Podcast “. Your website is beautifully done. I’m certainly in awe of the facts that you’ve got on this particular webpage. It unveils precisely how very well you are aware of this issue. Just book marked http://versebyversebibleteaching.com/?p=220, will come back for more information. I came across just the facts I require after searching far and wide and merely couldn’t obtain. Just what a perfect web site.
I would not label Chuck Missler as “spurious”.
Chuck Missler in NO way advocates (or even hints at) ethnic cleansing or any of the other wild ideas you present as regarding his presentation (based on scripture) of Genesis 6. Please don’t forget the words in the Bible “…and after that.” Although some angels are in everlasting chains, does that mean that no other angels could possibly commit the same offense? Chuck Missler is simply pursuing what scripture states with an open mind. I feel that all GOOD commentary should be based on scriptural reference, and not just shooting the bull. Chris White: your presentation of “Mystery Babylon” was superb, and I thank you for it. Go solo.
